Chris is a Mormon but has been excommunicated because of his gay sex addiction. Despite this and the fact that he has HIV, he is looking for a woman to marry so he can re-enter the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In London Chris is alone, but online he has built up a small fan club of gay Mormons in Salt Lake City, Utah, the heart of the Mormon faith.
Unsure of what to do with himself and struggling to contain his addiction, Chris travels to Utah and meets his fan club for the first time. Getting to know a rag-tag group of people outside the cosy – and sometimes catty – confines of social media, Chris is confronted with the fundamental question of how he wants to live his life.
